Also, if it were a chain width problem it wouldn't work correctly on the three 11s cassettes and two other cranks I've used it on. The only difference in the equation is the 105 5800 crank, and the Shimano chain that came with it. I have no idea what's up with it. The 105's teeth do seem wide, front-to-back, but I have no way to measure that to make sure. And I was under the impression that all 11s chains have the same space between each link's rollers.
