I didn't post above if the OP should go wider or more narrow - I was non committal. Basically that width alone being off was not going to be a big deal. If the OP has an extreme mismatch setup I take that back.

I posted because we/I don't really know the goal, type of riding, power and build of the rider - and how the OP likes to ride - hoods,drops or tops.

Aggressive sprinters like narrow bars to squeeze through gaps. Other sprinters, that are as fast, less aggressive may go wider for leverage.
Some climbers like flat tops, some don't.

But, I do think it matters. More often than not a rider can adjust other aspects and become both comfortable and better suited to what they are trying to do. But until we know that, I don't see a point in changing things around all that much.

I like the return of the flared bars that are wider on the drops than the hoods. See ENVE SES.
