Thanks for your input. Maybe this is just an LG G3 problem. I've tried multiple things (turning Bluetooth off/on, repairing sensors, power cycling phone, remove/reinstall apps) without any success so far. Same behavior with both Wahoo Fitness & MapMyFitness apps. Both worked great until the Marshmallow update.
