If he trained for two months, really got serious... maybe. What you'd be betting is that he's not going to do that. You know the guy better than we do. But there is one thing I do know and that's middle-aged laziness. The guy you describe is not going to get serious and he's not going to be able to do it without putting in some serious saddle time.

I'd certainly take that bet.
