Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Hubs are among the longest lasting components on bikes. 3,000 miles is slightly beyond break in, and with decent (not obsessive) care hubs can and should last 30-50,000+ miles.

Typically my hubs don't see any service at all for 5,-10,000 miles, or one full season including winter riding (2 seasons if not ridden during winter).
