And I do not know how many times I have had people tell me they are straight low carbon tubing when I know for fact it is 4130 double butted main triangle. I have built my CC everywhere from 23.5 pounds to 31 pounds. Currently fitted with fenders, rack, chunky dual sided pedals, Mavic Open Pro rims with 32mm Michelin Sport folding bead tires, Brooks B17N, lithium head light on front and even a bell it weighs in at only 29 pounds. Most of the MAMILS I see on the $5,000 cf bikes could loose a lot more than that from the middle section of their, uh, fuselage

, so I am simply not going to buy into the weight weenie arguments. And the CC will eat gravel up and spit it out and think naught of it.
Perhaps a picture or two of said Cross Check is in order?
