The best gloves I've found are some new-fangled fleece Polar-Tech gloves, made by Wells-Lamont. They're pretty popular for work gloves, especially leather ones. Anyways, these fleece ones are better than wool, for warmth, because they're wind-proof, very water-proof, and just all around more comfortable, too. I've worn them in temps down in the teens Fahrenheit, maybe even single digits, and they kept me nice & warm, for a good while. They're not 4-season gloves, lol, but for cold-weather, nothing beats them.
