This IS extremely interesting stuff...

It might also explain why my Ideale TB-6 & TB-75 are more comfortable than my Brooks saddles (Btw, both Ideale saddles are similar in shape, but have different spring systems). The Ideale cantle plate is more deeply arched than a Brooks (which is nearly flat), and more deeply curved at the sides.
