Shimano has had silent freehubs before. They were on all of the Police issue bikes they worked with. At one point you weren't allowed to buy the freehubs.
The Ultegra freehub on my newer cheap wheelset is silent. That's the second best thing about them. First is that they roll reeealy smoooth. From what I've read, the newer Ultegra hubs have the same bearings as the Dura-Ace, correct?
