The statement about using a throttle on trails is incongruous to me since I've ridden in SoCal for 30 years and haven't encountered one where a throttle would be legal, that couldn't be ridden on a pedal bike, no less an e-bike. Hope the wrong individual doesn't infer some illegality and use it against e-bike access.
