thewalrus, yes the price seems very good, the 05s were ultegra/dura-ace, were sold for 2800 MSRP. The 06s come with 105/ultegra and are sold for 2200 MSRP. I prefer the way 05 looks better then 06.
timcupery, thanks for the tip, I'll keep it in mind. I have been thinking for a while about purchasing a CF bike, I was interested in the Scattante CFR. Then I thought about waiting a little bit more time at least for spring to buy a new bike at the mean time upgrade my ride as I go. But this deal sounded to good to let go.
As far as knowledge I am still learning about the details. I have some idea but need much more. I ride more medium distances once or twice a week, around 50 miles each. I live in Central Coast of California so I practicaly can ride the whole year and intend to do it. I am planing to leave my alu bike for fast short distance rides and the CF for my longer rides and the centuries I hope to complete.
