That's what I and everyone at the bike shop are confused about. It is indeed the frame that SSRI posted, and all the parts I bought to build it are the exact same ones that are pictured, right down to the De Rosa branded bottle holders. So the Zonda wheels should've fit perfect. And it's a road bike, not made for cyclocross or mountains.
The frame showed no signs of damage, so it was just how it was built for some reason. I'm hoping they can shed some light on the situation.
How do people feel about cold pressing? The shop I'm using specialized in vintage restorations so they use a local frame builder frequently to replace tubes and repaint bikes. He can cold press it, no problem, and make sure it's aligned.
