I should add that I'm all for lowering the gearing on Paramounts. My '71 P13 has a triple. At one point I ran a 16-20-25-30-34-38 freewheel when I entered a mountain climbing race. At the moment it has a more reasonable 13-28 freewheel. I see the wheels are clinchers. Original spec, IIRC, would have been tubulars, but I could be wrong on this point. [MENTION=226065]Metacortex[/MENTION] and [MENTION=38510]Scooper[/MENTION] will know with certainty!



Are your barend shifters marked "Schwinn Approved" or are they Campagnolo branded? Can you tell us more about how you acquired your Paramount? Radiant Blue is a great color!
