A week or two ago I saw the Triplets of Bellville on DVD (loved it). One thing confused me, though: was the grandmother Portuguese? I sortof assumed from the beginning that they were French, but when she plays the piano at the triplets' apartment I believe she sings in Portuguese.
Madame Silva is Portuguese, and sings something like:

"In a portuguese home itīs nice, to have bread and wine over the table,
If at the door someone knocks with humility, come to sit at the table with us..."
