Maybe. One thing I learned from this past weekend's Eroica ride: avoid the day-before warmup, also known as The Opener.
Day after, sure, I'll be exhausted anyway. But the day before, I'll be hanging out and yabbing. Keeps these 65 year old legs somewhat fresher.
So to speak.
