Thanks. That beam one is cheapest, least foot pounds (75 vs. 80), and doesn't require callibrating later. I'm thinking I'll just go to a local store and hunt for something now that I know what I want.


Here's a pic from last night. (looks rusty.... Maybe another project, grr.... On the plus side, if I get this crank arm figured out, that's halfway to getting there for replacing the bottom bracket.)

I see the threads.
Wonder why it's a square hole, but whatever.
And see that the nut threads into the bottom bracket there... and would press on the square hole edges (part of the crank arm itself), and push the crank arm onto the bottom bracket that way. Makes sense.
