I'd go for the lighter and cheaper of any choice. My current jacket is a home-made silnylon anorak, 3 oz and smaller than a fist. After going through lots of expensive jackets over the decades, I've decided to stop spending money on the problem, because I've discovered it's really not that much of a problem.
