2. Buy new wheels then buy a group set.
3. Wait to buy a whole new bike, maybe a used one.

In my opinion this is the only way to go unless you are absolutely married to your LeMond. In which case I still think it's the way to go and you just keep your LeMond when you buy your new bike.
