In the 80s they started building them in SoCal. They were better built than the Italian ones, but were a harsher ride. They were also very well painted.
We got the Evolution as a team bike 3 years ago and while since getting different team bikes, I still have it. They are very light.
I think that the Lime Green Evolution was an awesome bike. I loved the color as well. When I wanted to build a new road bike a few years ago, that frame was on my list.
Masi still makes a good bike. I wish that they could capture more of the market but their name has really toiled for awhile now.
