Wrist pain, pinky pain, many different factors, ergon grips?
About 6 months ago? I fractured my radial head ( elbow ) in my left arm. After the fracture healed, and I was able to put pressure using my left arm on the Ergon grips my bike had, and I experienced a sore left wrist, about 20 minutes into the ride because I thought my wrist was was bending too much. This happened day after day after day, but only my left wrist. So I thought maybe the Ergon grip is too flat, or sitting too horizontal, forcing me to bend my wrist a little more than what is comfortable. ( Again, my right wrist has no problem with the horizontal grip ).
So I decided to angle up the Ergon grips to make my wrists straighter , in line with my arm. ( both right and left grips ) Gone are the left wrist problems , but now when I wake up in the middle of the night, my left pinky is in pain, and this pain started around the same time as I angled the grip. Every night, pinky pain, so I straighten and bend my pinky a few times, and the pain disappears.
I'm wondering if the injury, + the ergon grip is causing pinky pain, or if anyone else has experienced something like this.
I am thinking of changing the grip to a plain round one.
