I admit that I am slow on my bikes and a slow learner as well. That said, I was not surprised this morning when I just now caught the hilarious irony of the OP's name and his "feelings".
Spartan: One of, if not THE most hardened and brutal warriors in all of mankind's history. literally born to be, and trained from infancy, to fear nothing, ignore pain, and kill, kill, kill, kill, and kill more.
A Spartan has asked us to ponder, to reflect on our own behavior, and to consider embracing kindness over roughness. A Spartan has asked us to treat him more gently.
Some things deserve a chuckle. When this particular twist of irony dawned on me I snorted coffee out my nose.
