Schwinn Varsity and Brooks B15. Better, slimmer clamp?

Hi guys. I have searched high and low on here and other threads for an answer, but have not found one.

I have a Brooks B15 saddle on my 1980 Schwinn Varsity. The saddle is quite slim and narrow. It is slim and narrow enough that the bolts on the rail clamp are slightly exposed and have worn holes in my jeans. I would like to replace the clamp with something a bit slimmer, whether it is with vertical mounted bolts or side mountain allen bolts.

I believe I have the 13/16 seat post with the standard rail clamp.

Can anyone link me to or suggest a post or rail clamp upgrade that will work? I'm happy to buy a whole new post if need be.
