Don't bother with repairing that old bike (at least not now). This is the beginning of cycling season and you and your wife need new bikes... now. You are correct that a bike that fits correctly is important. Prepare to test ride several bikes.


But do hang on to your Dad's old bike. Restoring it will be a real joy someday. It will make more sense when it happens.
