Clear coating: I decided to use a new product from Humbrol. It's a clear acrylic varnish, so it's water based but is water-proof when dry. This shouldn't stress the paintwork out too much with excessive solvents.



I watered it down further and applied it with a cellulose cloth pad letting each coat dry for about an hour.
