I/we should have started this thread yesterday when I found out. I didn't know Artkansas personally, but as you say, he was a long-term member here, and he was active in a couple of the sub-forums. Particularly Living Car Free where he was able to post level-headed opinions without getting caught up much with the nastiness that bubbles below the surface all the time over there.

Machka seemed to "know" him better on-line than I, and filled me in last night on how things were going for him in the past five or so years.

In my book, he was one of the nice guys, and heaven knows, we need people like him to keep the balance.
