Not really. It's an acquired taste, if you like. Very high in salt, and a by-product of the beer-brewing industry. Machka hates the stuff, and I rarely partake of it, and have to be in the mood. Some use it as a flavouring in cooking, but I have never had success with it. There is none in our pantry at present. Besides, once the brand was taken over by Kraft, it lost its mystique for me and it just another product from a profiteering food conglomerate.
I like the taste & think the nutrients help but yeah, super-salty. & in the USA Vegemite & Marmite are quite expensive for some reason even though they can be found in many grocery stores. Well they're made from yeast & in Whole Foods etc one can buy nutritional yeast: very light, supposedly better than brewers' yeast products like Vegemite & Marmite.
