I use Quad Lock Up-Front. I did not change my phone case. I called Quadlock, and they said if you have one of those cheap, squiggly silicon cases, it won't stick, but if you have a polymer case (like a protective case), the phone part of the quadlock will bond completely and nicely. I do between 120-50 mis weekly, never had a problem with the Quadlock.
It work very well, handles my Strava data, Ride With GPS, etc, etc., and I don't have to keep track of a bunch of devices. What my phone does not do is record my body measurements during a ride - but I don't care about that anyway....
