Good thread. I'm rebuilding a 1978 Trek TX 900. I think I'd like to run 1/2 step gearing with a granny using a TA crank I have on hand. I'm thinking of going with a shimano long cage crane RD rather than a campy rally after reading this thread. Plus I have a shimano crane on hand as well.
