That's why I appreciate the few independent sources out there. The DC Rainmaker blog comes to mind.
I love DCR and use him as my main non-consumer review source... BUT, he totally white washes everything, too. Once every 3 months he might say something negative.
You have to really read between the lines on a lot of his stuff, especially on garmin stuff for sure. I have to spend a bunch of time looking at his data and plots to get the whole truth about some products (like power meters, HR monitors, etc).
