The second is one of myself and 3 of my mates on the start for the Eroica. That me on the Holdsworth Trike and the team jersey (as I have the jersey already you don't want to give me your bike to match?). You will also see one mate in a Team jersey without logos (I believe advertising was banned on some early amateur events) and also the 'Hemel Hempstead' local team jersey with the same colors. The reason was that Holdsworth Pro team's first team manager was Roy Thame who was a member of the Hemel club and he simply used the colors of his own club for the new Holdsworth Team. The bikes in the 2nd pic are , left to right '38 Bates, '55 Holdsworth Trike, '78 Roy Thame (he left Holsworth and started up himself) and a '63 Sun.
If you have not already found it here is an interesting link.

Thanks for the pictures Alan, that looks to have been a great day! I did the Italian l'Eroica in 2014 on a 1948 Hobbs of Barbican, and that was unforgettable.
I'd like to know more about your trike: are those Whirlwind lugs?
So that's the origin of the orange and blue! Good to know! I'll try and do it justice...
