Thanks for sharing...keep on rolling
Mike Mac
I joined this forum in 2008 but I don't think I've ever answered the introductory questions. Here I go...
Please tell us your age.
I'm 61
1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?
I just bought a Trek Crossrip Elite... I have a 2008 Trek 7500 and a 1986 Schwinn Tempo
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?
Currently on blood pressure medications and a cholesterol medication. I'm hoping that riding again will help eliminate some of these
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?
Yes. I never was fast... I just enjoyed riding
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?
I've biked all my life. Starting with a Schwinn Sting Ray in about 1965. First "ten-speed" in 1970.
5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides.
I rode a lot in high school and my bike was my transportation in college. Let it lapse for a few years and started up again after my kids were born. Then became a recreational rider. I had prostate surgery just over 3 years ago and was unable to ride. I just bought myself a Crossrip and have begun commuting again. Rides are getting longer.
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?
I took the #30daysofbiking challenge and have rode 25 of 25 days so far. A GREAT way to get back into riding again!
