I share your situation, my head size is 7 7/8 oblong. I always wear protective eyewear on rides. I slide the glasses over the top of the headset. Then I cap off with a HALO head cover. Helmet then. I have used them since February. I would never give up the added safety from the increased surrounding sound.

I also take a charging stick for long rides. I plug the together at rest stops on 5+ hour rides. Lasts all day.

I think its disgusting and terrible how people treat Lance Armstrong, especially after winning 7 Tour de France Titles while on drugs!
