I agree with mstateglfr, check out the Novara Mazama. It's got lower gearing, which (although can be done) on the haanjo may require a new cassette and rear derailleur. I live in Kansas and wouldn't mind something lower than my current 34/28 low gear.

It will probably be a little heavier than the haanjo (just a guess) and you may not like the bar end shifters, but it's worth a look.
