The way I see it, many new cars have daytime running lights for visibility, motorcycles are required to use lights at all times, many trucking companies require lights on day-or-night ... So as the smallest of these vehicles, why wouldn't you use lights day-and-night?

BTW - I typically turn off the lights when riding a non-motorized route.

I had a strobing front light, and I don't think she'd have stopped if I didn't have that drawing attention to myself. I was full braking with rear wheel lifting, if she had not stopped, I would have hit that car.
