It's been over a year since I had the CM 1000 but from what I remember the battery life was very, very short (about 1 hours and 20 minute) and the video quality was just okay.. I use the camera on the rear because I ride in medium to heavy traffic and figure if I get hit from behind I want the camera to capture the plate # of the car..

I was not happy with the CM 1000 and only had it a short amount of time before I scrapped it..
