The rear derailer looks too far away from the cluster, cassette. The chipped, broken crankset teeth will make the drivetrain "jump" like that. Try climbing a steep or somewhat steep hill, the chain jumping,, drama will be pretty apparent.
The cassette or freewheel & chain are usually replaced together. How they wear out together. Steel chain rings should last longer. Chris
