Doge gives good advice. Zurich is expensive as is most of Switzerland, so heading over to Germany to buy is a good idea. Trains have special cars with bike areas and you shouldn't have to worry about duty, but get the bike a little dirty first if you cross a border
Or just take the train and ride back...
OP may want to also explore rowing. Big sport there and very good complement to cycling.
I never lived in Switzerland, but been there about 10X - from age 11. Beautiful place, but so expensive, relative to the neighborhood.
