Bikes: Time VX Edge

Pros do race on steel - CSC rode on Superprodigy's for Paris-Roubaix..
I don't think material plays a huge part in what makes a "strong" bike... I definitely plays into what the ride "feels" like..
Design, design, design... Manu's can make a steel bike 10X stronger than a poorly designed Al, CF or Ti bike... they can do vice versa...

Those plastic remarks are about as arrogant and ignorant as they come...
Tupperware? Excuse me?
So... all this time Rubbermaid was really stealing all of Trek's & Airbus's CF right? Sure...
I just laughed as I read through the article...
Steel can be great... it can be great as CF - but no one wants to further research in it... why? Ask the manu's
My guess is:
Other elements can be lighter...
Most people have "me-too" syndrome - including myself...

Manu's are still companies - a great steel bike COULD sell worse than a poorly made CF bike just because of the market conditions..
