Many years ago my racer friends used exclusively tubulars so I know them fairly well, I think I could even repair them. Sometimes I'm tempted to build a pair of tubular wheels, but as said above, good tubulars are expensive and repairing them a hassle. Never saw a tubular roll out of a rim however.
