Interesting point. I went to performance and looked closely at the blown-up picture. It looks like there's an eyelet in the front fork dropout that could support the bottom of the front rack. You'd have to go to p-clamps for the mid-fork support, but that's not as big a deal-breaker as no bottom mount would be.
