The modern 26" tires are the wrong thing (obviously) You may need to go to a bike shop to get the old "Schwinn" 26" tires, they are still around.

There is one I have used that says "for Schwinn S-6" on the tires. I think there may be others as well. Read the sidewall of the old tires very carefully for something like that.
