Mavic Wheels
I have a set of Mavic Ksyrium SLS wheels on my EVO. I love the wheels. I also have an older set of Ksyrium SLs (they were the anniversary wheels) on my older bike which I use on muti-day tours which involve a lot of climbing. I may have to replace the older Ksyriums so was possibly thinking of putting a set of Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith SL Clinchers on the EVO and using the current Ksyrium SLS on my older bike.
The question is whether the Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith SLs are worth the extra cost? If not, I'd just purchase another set of the Mavic Ksyrium SLS wheels. Actually I think they are now called Ksyrium Pro SL.
Has anyone done a comparison ride with both wheels? Anyone riding with the Ksyrium Pro Exalith SL wheels? The Mavic Ksyrium Pro Exalith SLs are slightly lighter (1355 grams vs 1395). I've looked at the R-Sys wheels and just don't think they are worth the cost given the reviews and the noise they yield when breaking for the first several rides.
Thoughts?
Thanks.
