I think you will find that the "e" clip is not a hardware store one. Unless your LHWS is in Asia. The spring end sits inside the upper der knuckle at what is about the 7:00 position. Do understand that these ders are very cheap and not worth much effort but for the personal experience of figuring out things. Andy.
