MAX don't take this up wrong but are you mad in the head ,those things are ok around town but touring in bad weather no way man get proper shoes for god sake.
My cycling shoes and my sneakers offer a nice mesh between my socks and my feet. No different from sandals temperature-wise, they just stay wet longer.
