Debating a fork upgrade

So, I have been building up my 2002 Fuji roubaix pro and it is looking great. The fork that is currently on it has a 1" carbon bladed cromoloy steerer fork that the finish isn't the best on in places. I am deciding if I want to swap it out for a 1" threadless aluminum alloy steerer version that is a bit cleaner. Is there a significant (greater that 100g) weight difference going from a cromoly to an alloy steerer?. I realize the short answer is to weight it, and the even shorter answer is to not worry about a couple hundred grams, but I am at work, twiddling while I am on hold, and am curious if anybody else has gone through the same decision.
