Thanks for the replies guys. So what I gather from the replies so far:

- Stick with 25C, 23C wont be as comfortable (this pretty much rules out the entire Pro 4 range, as their 25C version (which measures 28) doesn't fit my frame)
- Gatorskins offer terrible ride quality
- GP 4000 are really good.

Really the ONLY thing that worries me about the GP4000 is the puncture resistance. Would you recommend GP4000s on roads with many potholes and some debris? I have heard people love these tires, except the puncture resistance is not that great?

Thanks!

I don't have experience with the Michelin Pro 4 tires, but they are a decidedly racier tire than the GP4000's which I have put lots of miles on. I haven't used the most recent version, but probably went through two sets of the previous one with lots of commuting miles and maybe a handful of flats. One time I was trying to hunt down a tick-tick noise in my front wheel and found a chunk of glass that had been imbedded in the tread, but hadn't made it past the flat protection layer.

Also, the gatorskins are basically the second to worst possible tire I've dealt with putting the Specialized Armadillos tires in first. When I started comutting a while back on the Armadillo tires the bike felt like an entirely different bike when I switched to the GP4000. Any tire that has full sidewall protection is going to be nasty stiff. The GP4000 tires put the flat protection under the tread where it is actually needed and gives a really great ride ESPECIALLY with the 25mm width.
Yes, they are very good.
