Also, to add on to what others said above...I could reach fine on mine, even though i think my top tube is slightly shorter, but my issue was my small hands - the distance from the bar to the brake lever was too far. Some nice BFers helped me out with a link to some brake levers (Tektro R341) that are made for women/small hands. They also flare out to the side a bit. They will be here tomorrow, so I havent a review yet, but they have 5 stars online and are only $21 at Treefortbikes.com - Just throwing this out there in case she has the same issue/isnt comfortable with the ones on there.
