I worked for a Trek dealership at that time, and until 84 or so, we only sold frames. They were typically built up to suit, and every one was different. This bike was shows a typical build of the time.

I know that they did offer full bikes, but until they came out with the full line and their own cast lugs etc a couple years later, this was rare. In norcal at least, they were most known for their touring framesets, kind of like Bob Jackson today.
