Actually, it is closer to a crossover than it is an SUV although the line between SUV and crossover is blurring.

SUV's are based on truck chassis. As the article states, many vehicles which people refer to as SUV's are really raised up unibody cars, sometimes with 4 wheel drive but very dissimilar to SUV's/trucks.

Either way, its a blast.
