JRA was scheduled for today, so I got the trusty Look out of the stable at 0545 and headed out. I had already decided I needed climbing (especially after Florida), so I headed for the hills. I kept it down some, I need to conserve for this weekend. I did a short, steep climb on Jack's Road, known as Black Death in these parts, and got very close to my
PR on it. I actually did
PR the bottom section, and got some more bling on the way there. Those aren't quite like a podium (which I've not done this season), but I'll take them. For my last climb, the one mile long Eucalyptus Road effort, I tried to be s m o o t h. I think I was. 30 seconds slower to the top, though.
Oh, well.
Fun morning. I followed it with Heathie's oatmeal/egg recipe for breakfast!
